Role Overview
The Warehouse Technician at Matsbond will support warehouse operations by maintaining equipment, conducting repairs, and ensuring smooth operational flow. This role is key to minimizing downtime and maintaining safety standards in the warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical or electrical issues in the warehouse.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to schedule maintenance activities.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and report issues promptly.
- Support warehouse staff with technical issues related to equipment.
- Assist with installation and setup of new warehouse systems or machinery.
- Ensure availability of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability.
- Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
- 3+ years experience in equipment maintenance or technical support in warehouse/industrial settings.
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, conveyor belts, and pallet jacks.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance logging.
