Role Overview
The Shipping Agent at Matsbond will facilitate the coordination and processing of shipments, ensuring all documentation and customs requirements are met for timely and compliant delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process shipping documentation including customs declarations, bills of lading, and invoices.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines.
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and clients.
- Ensure compliance with all international and local shipping regulations.
- Liaise with customs authorities to resolve shipment clearance issues.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and files.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating cargo loading and unloading.
- Support the resolution of shipping-related problems and delays.
- Implement best practices in shipping and logistics operations.
- Participate in audits and inspections related to shipments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 3+ years experience in shipping or freight forwarding.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping procedures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in shipping software and MS Office.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
