Role Overview
We are looking for a competent and proactive Project Engineer to join our Construction & Infrastructure team. This role will support the planning, design, and execution of engineering activities on projects while ensuring technical accuracy, safety compliance, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and review of project plans, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure engineering requirements are met.
- Monitor project progress, schedule, and budget adherence.
- Conduct site inspections to verify work quality and compliance with safety standards.
- Identify and resolve technical issues in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and progress updates for stakeholders.
- Support procurement of materials and equipment by providing technical specifications.
- Ensure adherence to Matsbond’s quality management systems and environmental policies.
- Participate in risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of experience in construction project engineering or related roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards.
- Experience with engineering design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
