Role Overview
The Payroll Supervisor at Matsbond will manage the payroll team and oversee all payroll functions to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, benefits, and statutory deductions. This role involves supervising payroll operations, resolving payroll discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and tax regulations. As a key player in the finance department, the Payroll Supervisor supports the company’s mission by safeguarding employee compensation integrity, enhancing payroll processes, and maintaining confidentiality and compliance across diverse project environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all company employees, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Supervise the payroll team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including tax deductions, social security contributions, and labor regulations.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and investigate issues related to employee compensation and benefits.
- Coordinate with HR and finance departments to reconcile payroll data with attendance, leave, and benefits records.
- Maintain payroll records and documentation in line with company policies and audit requirements.
- Prepare payroll reports for management review and statutory submissions.
- Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and promptly.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in payroll processing with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll systems, tax laws, and labor regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
