Role Overview
The Offshore Installation Engineer will oversee the installation activities of offshore structures and equipment, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and according to engineering standards. This role involves close collaboration with offshore teams, contractors, and clients to troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise offshore installation activities.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, and contractors for installation tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during installation.
- Monitor progress and resolve technical issues onsite.
- Conduct inspections and verify installation conformity to specifications.
- Prepare installation reports and documentation.
- Support risk assessment and mitigation plans.
- Liaise with clients and project management for installation updates.
- Manage installation equipment and resource allocation.
- Promote continuous improvement in installation processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Marine, or Offshore.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore installation engineering.
- Strong knowledge of offshore installation methods and equipment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and offshore industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in demanding offshore environments.
- Proficient in technical reporting and project documentation.
