Role Overview
The Marine Technical Officer will provide technical support for marine vessel operations, ensuring maintenance, repair, and operational readiness are maintained at the highest standards to support offshore projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise maintenance and repair of marine vessels and equipment.
- Ensure technical compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Coordinate technical inspections and surveys.
- Manage technical documentation and vessel certification records.
- Assist in planning vessel maintenance schedules.
- Provide technical support during vessel mobilization and demobilization.
- Collaborate with crew and contractors on technical issues.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
- Support procurement of marine technical equipment.
- Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Marine Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in marine technical roles.
- Strong knowledge of vessel maintenance and marine technical systems.
- Good understanding of marine safety and environmental regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in dynamic offshore environments.
- Proficiency with marine technical documentation and software.
