Role Overview
The Marine Deck Supervisor oversees deck crew activities aboard marine vessels, ensuring safe and efficient operations including cargo handling, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols. This role requires strong leadership and operational expertise in marine deck operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise deck crew and daily deck operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Coordinate cargo handling and stowage activities.
- Maintain deck equipment and ensure proper function.
- Conduct safety briefings and training for deck personnel.
- Monitor and report on deck operations and incidents.
- Collaborate with vessel management and offshore teams.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety and teamwork.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate or diploma in Marine Operations or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in marine deck operations.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
- Strong knowledge of safety and operational procedures.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in demanding offshore environments.
- Familiarity with maritime regulations and compliance.
