Role Overview
The Marine Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene onboard marine vessels. This entry-level role supports the overall vessel maintenance efforts and contributes to a safe and pleasant working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all vessel areas including decks, cabins, and common spaces.
- Dispose of waste according to environmental and safety regulations.
- Support deck crew and maintenance teams as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards noticed during cleaning.
- Ensure supplies and cleaning equipment are well-maintained and stocked.
- Follow safety procedures while performing cleaning tasks.
- Assist in laundry and sanitation duties if required.
- Participate in safety and hygiene training.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness onboard.
- Work cooperatively with crew to maintain vessel condition.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous cleaning experience is an advantage but not required.
- Physically able to perform cleaning duties in marine environments.
- Attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours offshore.
