Role Overview
The Finance Supervisor at Matsbond will oversee the daily financial operations, ensuring accurate processing of transactions, timely financial reporting, and compliance with financial policies and regulations. This position plays a critical role in supervising the finance team, streamlining financial processes, and supporting management with reliable financial data. The Finance Supervisor ensures financial integrity and operational efficiency across all projects, supporting the company’s strategic objectives and maintaining high standards in the fast-paced construction, marine, engineering, and oil & gas sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise finance team activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Review and verify financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and budgets to support organizational decision-making.
- Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and petty cash operations to ensure proper controls and availability of funds.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors to facilitate audits and financial reviews.
- Develop and implement financial process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce errors.
- Provide coaching and training to finance staff, fostering professional growth and improving team performance.
- Manage financial record keeping, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and easily accessible.
- Support compliance with tax obligations and statutory requirements by liaising with relevant authorities.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for financial optimization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional certification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ finance experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and MS Office applications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
