Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on, adaptable Field Engineer to join our Oil & Gas Engineering team. This role is critical for the planning, execution, and monitoring of field operations, ensuring technical accuracy and timely delivery across complex upstream and downstream projects. The ideal candidate thrives in challenging environments and has a passion for problem-solving on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site engineering support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct field surveys, technical assessments, and risk analyses prior to operations.
- Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications for field teams and contractors.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and logistics to ensure smooth execution of work scopes.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Identify operational issues and recommend effective technical solutions.
- Support QA/QC processes and generate detailed field reports and documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily field activity, materials usage, and equipment performance.
- Assist in troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems as needed.
- Participate in site audits, inspections, and technical meetings as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum, or Civil Engineering.
- 3–6 years of relevant field engineering experience in the oil & gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of upstream/downstream operations, site mobilization, and installation processes.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, field data logging tools, and engineering software.
- Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and team collaboration capabilities.
- Willingness to work in remote locations and extended shifts when required.
- Familiarity with local and international safety codes and oilfield practices.
- Valid offshore certifications (BOSIET, HUET) are a plus.
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple tasks in a high-paced environment.
