Role Overview
The Diving Technician is responsible for supporting diving operations by maintaining diving equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and assisting divers during offshore activities. This role is essential in enabling safe and efficient underwater operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and inspect diving equipment and systems.
- Prepare diving gear and ensure operational readiness.
- Assist divers during underwater operations and dives.
- Ensure compliance with diving safety protocols and standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diving equipment.
- Support emergency response and rescue drills.
- Document maintenance activities and incidents.
- Collaborate with diving supervisors and offshore teams.
- Participate in training and certification programs.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certification in commercial diving technology or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in diving support roles.
- Strong knowledge of diving equipment and safety procedures.
- Ability to work under physically demanding offshore conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant safety and offshore survival certifications.
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
