Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Diving Technician to join our Marine & Offshore Services team. This role involves conducting underwater inspections, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring compliance with all marine safety standards and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform underwater inspections, welding, cutting, and maintenance tasks as per project requirements.
- Ensure all diving operations comply with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and maintain diving equipment, ensuring operational readiness and safety.
- Assist in planning and executing offshore diving projects in coordination with project managers and marine engineers.
- Conduct pre-dive safety checks and post-dive equipment maintenance.
- Monitor diver health and safety throughout diving operations.
- Document all diving activities and generate detailed inspection reports.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and participate in rescue drills.
- Stay updated with the latest diving technology and safety regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the marine technical team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certified Commercial Diver with recognized certification from a reputable diving institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore diving operations, preferably in marine or oil & gas sectors.
- Proficient in underwater welding, cutting, and inspection techniques.
- Strong knowledge of diving safety standards and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to work under physically demanding and hazardous conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid medical fitness certificate for diving operations.
- Familiarity with marine engineering and offshore project requirements is an advantage.
